Quilling is the process of rolling and gluing paper into artistic shapes. It can be sometimes referred to as paper filigree and it’s a form of three-dimensional art that involves using strips of paper to create various designs.

There are many different quilling designs that you can create. The following are some of our favorites:

This is one of the most popular quilling designs and it is fairly easy to make. You will need a square piece of paper and you will start by folding it in half diagonally. Then, roll the bottom corner up to the top corner. Once you have done this, unfold the paper and you should have a triangle shape. Take the two pointed ends and fold them in towards the center so that they meet in the middle. Now, roll the paper between your fingers so that it forms a rose shape. Finally, pinch the petals together to secure them in place.

2. Heart

This is a very simple quilling design that is perfect for beginners. You will need a strip of paper that is at least 12 inches long. Take one end of the strip and roll it into a tight coil. Once you have done this, glue the end to the other end of the strip to form a heart shape.

This is another popular quilling design that is easy to make. You will need two strips of paper, each 6 inches long. Take one strip and fold it in half so that it

This quilling design is a bit more complicated but it is still easy to make. You will need a square piece of paper that is at least 8 inches long. Fold the paper in half diagonally and then roll the two pointed corners towards the center so that they meet in the middle. Now, unfold the paper and you should have a triangle shape. Take one of the pointed ends and fold it in towards the center so that it meets in the middle. Now, roll the paper between your fingers so that it forms a petal shape. Repeat this process until you have formed six petals. Glue the petals together to form the flower.

5. Christmas Tree

This quilling design is perfect for Christmas! You will need a strip of paper that is at least 12 inches long. Coil one end of the strip into a tight coil and then glue it to the other end of the strip. Now, take the other end of the strip and coil it into a tight coil. Glue it to the first coil to form the tree trunk. Now, take the remaining strip of paper and cut it into small pieces. Glue these pieces to the tree trunk to form the branches. Finally, glue green paper or ribbon to the top of the tree to create the star.

6. Guitar

This is one of the quilling designs that would be perfect for a music lover! You will need two strips of paper, each 6 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. Start by folding one strip in half and then roll it into a coil to form the guitar’s body. Now, take the other strip and coil it around the first strip to form the guitar’s neck. Glue both ends of the strip together to secure them in place. Finally, glue red paper or ribbon to the top of the guitar handle to create its strings.

7. Ladybug

This is another popular quilling design that is fairly easy to make even though it looks complicated! You will need two strips of paper, each 6 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. Start by folding one strip in half and then roll it into a coil to form the ladybug’s body. Finally, take the other strip and coil it around the first strip to form its head. Glue both ends of the strip together to secure them in place.

8. Swirl Heart

This is a simple yet elegant design that you can create using quilling paper! You will need two strips of paper, each 4 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. Take one end of one of the strips and fold it over so that it forms an obtuse angle as shown below:

Now, take one end of the second strip and fold it over so that it forms a right angle as shown below:

Now, roll the two strips of paper together so that they form a swirl shape. Glue the end of the strip to the other strip to secure them in place. Now, take the remaining strip of paper and cut it into small pieces. Glue these pieces around the swirl shape to form the heart.

9. Snowflake

This is another popular quilling design that is perfect for Christmas! You will need a strip of paper that is at least 12 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. Start by folding the paper in half and then roll it into a coil to form the snowflake’s body. Now, take the other end of the paper and coil it around the first strip to form the snowflake’s points. Glue both ends of the strip together to secure them in place. Finally, glue blue paper or ribbon to the snowflake’s body to create its color.

10. Teddy Bear

This is a simple yet adorable design that you can make out of quilling paper! All you will need is one strip of paper that is at least 12 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. Start by rolling the strip into a tight coil as shown below:

Now, take one end of the strip and roll it into a loose spiral as shown below: Do this with both ends so that your bear will have two skinny tails and two big ears! Finally, glue the arms and legs to the bear’s body.

11. Super Mario Question Block

This is a unique quilling design that you can create using quilling paper! You will need two strips of paper, each 4 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. First, fold one strip in half and then roll it into a coil as shown below:

Next, take the other strip and roll it around the first strip to form its sides. Glue both ends of the strip together to secure them in place. Finally, take seven small pieces of paper and cut them into small squares as shown below:

You will need five blue squares for your question block and two golden-yellow ones for Mario’s fireballs! Once you have all of your pieces ready, glue them together as shown below:
