Make a paper rose bouquet

What you’ll need:

-Construction paper in different colors

-Wire or pipe cleaner

-Feathers (optional)

1. Cut a strip of construction paper about 1 inch wide and 8 inches long. Glue the ends together to make a loop. This will be your rose’s stem.

2. Cut 6 circles out of construction paper, each one about 3 inches in diameter.

3. Fold each circle in half, then in half again. You should now have a quarter-circle shape.

4. Glue the folded edges of each quarter circle together to form a rose petal. Repeat with all six petals.

5. Cut a piece of wire or pipe cleaner about 12 inches long. Twist one end around the stem of the rose.

6. curl the other end of the wire around your finger to form a spiral shape. Leave enough wire at the top to hold on to when you’re finished curling.

7. Curl each petal around the wire spiral, being careful not to kink it. Add more petals until your rose is as full as you

Bake heart-shaped cookies

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and stir until well combined.

Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown around the edges. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Make a love note holder

What you’ll need:

-a piece of cardboard

-a pencil

-a ruler

-a craft knife

-a cutting mat

-a self-healing cutting mat

-paint or a marker

-a hot glue gun

-ribbon or lace

1. Cut a piece of cardboard to 9×12 inches. Draw a heart on the cardboard, using a ruler and pencil. Make sure the heart is symmetrical. Cut out the heart with a craft knife and cutting mat. If you’re not confident in your freehand cutting skills, trace the heart onto the cardboard first before cutting it out.

2. Use a marker or paint to decorate the front of the love note holder. You can write a message or draw a design. Allow the paint or marker to dry completely.

3. Glue a length of ribbon or lace to the back of the love note holder, using a hot glue gun. Allow the glue to cool completely before using your love note holder.
